Qualified Teacher (Maternity Cover)- Special Needs (SEN)

Overview

Hillside is a very successful school for pupils with a wide range of complex needs including Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) and Autism (ASD).

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated class teacher to cover Maternity Leave.

The age range is 4 to 19 years and you may be required to work with pupils of any age and ability. We currently have 86 pupils on roll.

  • work with a team to deliver outstanding Teaching and Learning to our pupils
  • be confident in the use of IT
  • have a good sense of humour

Role is suitable for ECTs.

Salary

Salary: MPR / UPR plus SEN Allowance

Required from: September 2025

Contract type: Fixed Term

Contracted Hours: Maternity Cover for 1 year (1.0 FTE), pupil's school day is 8:45-3:10
